In
the small city of Fruitland, Maryland,
two women arranged
to have a child. Having been secretly married on a trip to Europe,
Shawanna and Honey Childe were well along in the family way when news
came that Honey had been accepted as a Senate page in Washington DC.
The news was
so exciting, in fact, Honey dropped her water right then and there and
gave birth to two lovely daughters Julia and Raisa. The senator for
whom Honey would be working forced the women to give the two girls up
for adoption or he would expose their sinful union and the children
would be forcibly removed. Tearfully, Honey and Shawanna agreed. Both
girls were adopted by nice families in Arizona.
Little Julia went
to a nice Gilbert family. Little Raisa was taken in by a family of
German immigrants Hoff and Una Brau. Raisa was a ravishing beauty and
always garnered a double take when she walked down the street, earnig
her the title of Our Lady of Whiplash. In high school, though being a
shy and quiet girl, Raisa was very popular with the boys, being as she
was a dancer and quite limber. Following high school, Raisa sought work
as a dancer and found it. She was quite successful, but very
unfulfilled. What she wanted more than anything was to find her birth
mother and long lost twin sister. She tried for years, but hit dead end
after dead end. Her mother had moved away from DC to join a theatre
troupe. Her sister had seemingly just disappeared. Downtrodden and
depressed, Raisa decided to raise her own spirits by playing a game of
bingo at a local watering hole. Sitting in the bar with her friends,
Raisa was drawn to two shiny objects in the bar – one was a statuesque
beauty, named FarmaSue Tickle, the other was a shiny nun. Striking up a
conversation with the tall gorgeous girl, she discovered that she too
had been adopted around the same time she was, and was from a little
town in Maryland.
Both girls squealed
with delight when they discovered that FarmaSue was none other than
little Julia. Her adpoted family had changed her name!
Curious and a bit annoyed by all the noise, the shiny nun came over to
quiet the girls down. When Raisa and FarmaSue told her the story, tears
welled up in Sister Honey’s eyes – these were her long-lost little
girls! Sister Honey brought the girls to the Sisters of Perpetual
Indulgence…the rest is history in the making.
